Record Crowd at 2018 Oil & Natural Gas Industry Day

More than 700 Louisiana leaders, workers, supporters and students came together Tuesday, April 24, to show support for the state’s future and most important economic driver at 2018 Oil & Natural Gas Industry Day. The event featured a keynote speech by U.S. Department of Energy Under Secretary The Honorable Mark Menezes as well as remarks from Louisiana leaders who emphasized the energy sector’s significant role in Louisiana and the United States.

GLAC Members, Industry Executives Meet with State and Federal Leaders

This year, GLAC members, energy industry supporters, workers and experts had multiple opportunities to meet with state lawmakers and federal government leaders, including the U.S. Department of Energy Under Secretary The Honorable Mark Menezes, to discuss potential partnerships and issues impacting Louisiana’s energy sector and economy.

Fueling the Future

The Louisiana energy industry is committed to investing in our future leaders. To showcase this commitment, a group of nearly 40 middle school students from Baton Rouge Lutheran School came out to Industry Day to test their Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) skills.
